Abstract

Abstract Title: The Impact of Designing an Instructional Unit in Christian Religious Education on the Development of Life Skills and Universal Values. A Case Study: Sixth-Grade pupils. Objectives of the Study: This study sought to achieve the following objectives: 1. Identifying the universal values and life skills included in the developed Christian Religious Education curriculum for the sixth grade of basic education, which should be fostered among learners, and determining the extent to which they are available. 2. Designing an instructional unit in Christian Religious Education for the sixth grade of basic education, based on universal values and life skills, with the aim of developing them among learners. 3. Measuring the effectiveness of the designed instructional unit in developing learners' universal values and life skills. 4. Identifying the level of acquisition of universal values and life skills among the students in the experimental group after being taught using the designed instructional unit. 5. Investigating the presence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in the pre- and post-applications of the universal values test, the life skills test, the achievement test, and the situational (attitudinal) test
